look for a community garden in your area. they have some around here for people with disabilities where volunteers will work with you and help you with your own plot.
Please pray for my friend's daughter. She is in the fight of her life against a blod clot and possibly deadly sepsis. Please consider going to her blog and leaving an encouraging comment.
Three Amazing Kids, Your family and your friend's family are in my prayers. There is nothing more difficult that watching your child go through medical procedures. I have only had a small taste of it, and it makes me really admire your courage.

my neighbor has fibromaylagia and is a retired teacher. one neighbor mows her grass, and my daughter and i bring her flowers that she plants. she thinks her garden is so neat. when the tomatoes and green beans come in, we plan on bringing her some. i taught her how to train her dog when she rescued a pup from a shelter. the point i am making is to absolutely talk to a farmer near you! i bet they would love to help you out. shit, if you lived near me, i would! it would be all sorts of fun

3AK, thank you also for the link. I can't imagine going through something like that with your child. A friend of my family recently lost their almost 4 year old son to Neuroblastoma cancer (he had it for 2 years and the chemo and drugs stopped working, so in February he came home with Hospice then he passed away a few weeks ago). It is heartbreaking to think about how those situations happen, but in the end his family has blessed so many with their faith and hope.
GLO--I am so sorry. If you ever want to talk, I've been through it too. Just lost twins in May. It's so much more common than I ever thought! Oddly enough, this "drama" has helped me kind of keep my mind off of all the pain. I don't know if that's ok or not, but it is what it is. Praying for you and your husband in your loss, I am so very very sorry.
I am a miscarriage "survivor" (I hate that term, but it applies!)
It is very very painful emotionally! I miscarried the day after my wedding anniversary and at my anniversary dinner, I just knew. I could not shake the feeling.
I found the ovusoft forum to be an excellent community of support during my time of grief.
It was so reassuring to know that other women knew how I felt and would not in any way make small talk and treat it like it was no big deal.
But there was a silver lining to my very dark cloud as that miscarriage allowed my son to be in existence. I cannot imagine a world without him.
For me--his existence was a key component of my recovery. For other women--it might be something else. But the Ovusoft was a very reflective place to be during a very dark time for me.

ReplyDeleteI miscarried on Friday afternoon. It was not really a surprise, as my last sonogram showed issues with the pregnancy.
I have been reading the boards, but I am so disinterested in the drama right now. I've decided to take a break from blogs for awhile.
