I've now read the Enquirer article. It's just silly; it's based on the premise that Jon and Kate present themselves as poor, which...they don't. They sometimes talk about, say, how expensive it would be to take eight kids to the movies. It *would* be expensive. There are also half-truths like that J&K are "paid to attend church services". Actually, if I understand correctly, they are paid speaking fees for speaking at churches. A very different thing, IMO (the other doesn't even make sense - why would they be paid to attend church services?).So, ho-hum - the disgruntled relative of an in-law who seems determined to create drama and insert herself into the story managed to get her "story" published. I'm sure she's proud of herself. What this has to do with protecting Jodi or any ridiculously overblown notions of "truth" is beyond me.
where can I read this article
Ho-hum describes the article perfectly. It must have been an extremely slow news week with Britney behaving herself and no stars on death's door for this story to make the cut. I honestly think the only result of the article might be some new folks tuning in to see what the fuss is about.

thank you for the link!Seems Sh*t may hit the roof....(IMO) I noticed that Jodi's sister hadn't posted on her blog since Jon and Kate wrote the statement on their website. Could this be "Truth's" response to J&K's statement?
I was a big fan of the show until Kate's meanness level reach new heights! It doesn't surprise me that anyone perceived as someone who would take the focus off of Kate would disappear.I read Jodi's sister's blog and did not get the feeling that there was anything bitter or disgruntled about her. What I read was a sister who couldn't take her sister being taken advantage of. Where are the other family members...did they reach the point of not wanting to be used? The real answer will be whether Jodi returns and if not, how will this be explained. A suggestion to Jon and Kate...contact the Dillys for how to parent with no outside help and not on camera.
But as a reminder, nothing that you read on the internet or in print is true unless it is approved by us.I am sorry I cannot comment on this as it hasn't been approved by Jon and Kate. The same goes for Angelina's and Brad's twins, the economy's decline or the high price of gas. Jon and Kate have not approved those items so they are not true.

What I read was a sister who couldn't take her sister being taken advantage of. Where are the other family members...did they reach the point of not wanting to be used?"Explain to me how Julie's sticking her nose in helped anything. Her whole melodramatic "truth" line is a crock, IMO. I could understand it if Jodi was being unfairly vilified, but public reaction to Jodi seems to range from liking her to believing she walks on water. The only thing Julie has accomplished is to make Kate look bad (though even that's debatable - I think opinions on J&K are pretty fixed at this point, at least among fans that read these various online forums about them). Also, presumably she has contributed to the deterioration of J&K's relationship with Kevin and Jodi. That's just a guess, but as I've said before, I would be pretty angry if I were the Gosselins. Jodi has the right to be angry if she's been used or ill-treated (I don't know that she has), but that doesn't excuse Julie blabbing about it in public. If Jodi approves, that makes her less saintly, IMO, and if she doesn't approve, and Julie is doing it anyway, it's even more reprehensible behavior.
Again, imo, Julie is defending her sister AND brother in law. If the truth is that Jodi was not offered money via a contract and the 'replacement' caregiver is, then shame on J&K. And, again imo, I would also defend my sister AND brother in law in whatever forum I could. I have great respect for Julie and her loyalty. I wonder again, where are Kate's other family members. I do know that their absence is more that just not wanting to be televised. And although Jodi was never "vilified", Kate did get pretty nasty, reacting as if Jodi introduced the kids to heroin rather than gum! The memory of having fun at Aunt Jodi's and Uncle Kevin's turned into one more lecture by their mother.Again, it will be interesting to see how and if this is even addressed in the next season, assuming there will be one. Please keep in mind that my comment has not been approved by J&K...
Well, it has just been approved(for publishing-not necessarily for content) by the moderater.
IMO, Julie was not defending her sister and brother-in-law. Again, I don't see how her actions, both in inserting herself into a conflict that had nothing to do with her, and airing the family's dirty laundry in public, can be seen as anything but selfish and destructive.I don't know the truth of the Jodi/money situation. I find it hard to believe the stark details as Julie provides them, but I can see Kate having some jealousy over how Jodi is venerated online while Kate herself is torn to shreds. I'm not saying that's what happened, just that I can see it. If that's the case, it's not admirable on Kate's part, but it's human and I can understand it.I don't understand how someone who has been presented to the public as being as wonderful as Jodi has could sanction her sister's actions in this instance. It makes me wonder about Jodi, though I'm willing to give her the benefit of the doubt. She has as much right to be human and imperfect as Kate, after all. But it really doesn't make sense the way Julie tells it - supposedly, Jodi didn't even want the money, only wanted to be able to continue to have contact with the Gosselin kids. How on Earth have Julie's actions helped on that front?I don't understand how causing more trouble between the two couples constitutes "defending" one's sister. I'm all for family loyalty, but I myself can do without such a defense.I have zero respect for Julie, who hides behind her semi-anonymity (since I'm not a stalker, I won't be trying to dig up her address or telephone number in order to harangue her) while taking shots at the Gosselins. I think she's a cowardly troublemaker.I don't know the reasons for the absence of some family memebers in J&K's lives, nor do I think it's any of my business. Watching their TV show does not give me a right to know every little thing about their lives.Kate was pissy about the gum; Kate gets pissy about a lot of things. If I were Jodi, having seen some of the things that Kate's said about her on camera, I'd probably be annoyed with her. But that's between them. Kate and Jodi appear to have very different personalities, which can be both a good thing and a bad thing, I think.
Guinevere, Would love to have you write some featured posts. E-mail us if you are interested.
I've been meaning to submit something - I will email you. Thanks!
I'm not sure that there is proof that Julie caused problems between the two couples. Since Kevin and Jodi seemed to be the only relatives involved, Kate's behavior probably did not come as a surprise.I've watched the few specials that were done on the Dilly children and am struck by the respect they all show each other and by their ability to stay humble and buy into any hype.I don't begrudge anyone anything, I don't even know J&K, but don't just give lip service about gratitude, imho...
Guinevere - Thank you for your sane words, they were refreshing to read. It appears to me that Julie is looking for her 15 minutes of fame and not thinking about the Gosselin kids at all. Her claims that Jodi loves the kids, and didnt care about money doesnt add up if she gave Julie permission to go on this anti-J&K mission. If Jodi is happy that Julie is doing this then that really makes me question her sincerity regarding the kids.
