MORAL DILEMMA

Should one spouse tell another about an extra-marital affair? Assume that the affair was ended and the cheating spouse is full of regret. He feels lousy, less-than-human, about having betrayed his faithful spouse. Assume he wants to confess because the secret is a burden. Should he confess? Does his spouse deserve the truth? Should he unburden himself? Or should he keep it secret, carry his burden, despite his feelings of remorse and guilt?
